Czech born artist, Blanka F. Smith, attended the Fine Arts Academy in Prague.  After moving to the United States, she exhibited her paintings of Long Island seascapes, City Island sailing scenes and the sand dunes of Cape Cod in Greenwich Village, New York.

Since 1981 Blanka has been a resident of the British Virgin Islands.  Her vivid acrylic Caribbean flower paintings and vibrant watercolours depicting island scenery have sold through various galleries to both visitors and island residents.
