Jose Kernahan was a student at Goldsmith's College
Art School, London, achieving a Fine Arts degree. during world war
II she became a nurse at Guy's Hospital. While raiding four
children her family emigrated ti Canada, and then to the USA, leaving
her little time to paint. Jose spent 25 years teaching art history
at the University of Chicago. When she retired Jose moved to
Tortola and finally picked up her brushes and began painting again with
the encouragement of like-minded friends.
